This nautical marine bronze Lifeboat Compass in an antiqued wooden case measures 4.7" x 4.7" x 3.5".
This functional working compass is fully gimbled, is made of solid brass and has a bronze finish. The lifeboat compass sits inside an expertly hand distressed (antiqued), French finished desktop box.
It is a faithful replica of a Grand Banks dory compass that was used by Cod fisherman to find their way back to their schooner in the fog.
