Product Description
This reproduction Black Vaugondy French 1745 world globe is very skillfully made. It measures overall 12.60" diameter.
This black & ivory Vaugondy French Globe is made of copperplate printed gores (specially shaped map sections) modeled after the actual 17th Century original cartographers globe. The gores are cut and applied by hand on papier-mache globe spheres. The globe is meticulously handcrafted using the complicated ‘gravure’ printing process that results in the sharpest details, lines and symbols.
The beautiful globe hangs from hand turned and polished pewter finished hooks that allow you to adjust the height of the globe from the ceiling (3 hooks are included, please right click on instructions image below and select "open image in new tab"). All hardware is made of aluminum with a polished pewter finish.
This beautiful Vaugondy French 1745 world globe is sure to become a conversational addition to your nautical hanging decor.
