This high quality, highly detailed, RC Ready Riva Aquarama Runabout Speed Boat Model is fully assembled and ready for display (not a kit), except for setting up for RC by installing your own engine or motor, receiver, servo and other necessary equipment. Included are the necessary parts for the propeller shafts and rudders all made of solid brass.
The Riva Aquarama runabout model is handcrafted from beautiful mahogany wood, along with western red cedar and rosewood. The hull is constructed using a plank on bulkhead method, each strip of wood is carefully joined together to form a smooth hull. Then the hull is sealed inside and outside with clear fiberglass to completely waterproof it and add some extra reinforcement. The rear engine hatch (sunbathing deck) lifts off providing access to the inner hull with lots of space for installing your own RC system (not included). This model is completely hand built to spec by skillful and creative master craftsmen.
This Riva Aquarama powerboat has been hand varnished with many coats of clear varnish. The bottom is painted white and there is a bright blue boot stripe. On the Riva Aquarama model, you will find a variety of beautiful handcrafted cast chromed & brass metal parts such as: windshield frame, many detailed gauges, steering wheel, cleats, running lights and much more. Not attached but included are the propeller shafts and rudders all made of solid brass.
This model has one large cockpit and the back engine hatch is a passenger sun bathing area. The cockpit & engine hatch have detailed hand stitched white & red leather seats and trim. A nice detail for this model are the chrome metal logos on the side of the hull "Riva" and "Aquarama". A flag is included, an Italian flag with an anchor logo. A wooden stand comes standard with this RC ready model for when it’s not in use.
The model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures and drawings. There are absolutely no plastic parts only the highest quality wood and metal parts.
This model is carefully packed within two thick layers of Styrofoam for damaged free shipping. This model measures 35" long from bow to stern.
