This Desk Clock Paper Weight Watch measures approx 8" height x 6.5" width x 6" depth.
The desk clock pocket travel watch is made of solid aluminum with a gold (color) annealed finish. The pocket watch paper weight has a convex optical glass magnifier on both sides that shows an enlarged dial and hands, making the clock very suitable for use as a desk clock. The clocks dial face has large roman numerals, written on it is "Victoria London 1876" and there is a ship's wheel & anchor logo. On the back is a compass & compass rose card. The AA 1.5V battery (not included) is inserted by unscrewing the compass side.
This desk clock paper weight was commonly carried by seamen on voyages at sea and is an early reproduction of a pocket watch from a watchmaker from Victorian London in the 1800’s.
