This decorative compass has inscribed "Makers to the Queen, London 1953" on the screw on lid top and on the inside of the lid is an excerpt from Robert Frosts "The Road Not Taken". It is made of solid brass with an antiqued distressed brass finish (finish and minor blemishes may be varied). Included is leather carrying case.
This compass is a replica of a compass made in London, England from the 1950s. The compass rose below the needle has 16 - points depicting the 8 principal winds and 8 half-winds.
