Large Swivel Gun Cannon HMS Victory 1805 Model 11.75"
This navy Swivel Gun Cannon HMS Victory 1805 model replica measures 12.25" overall length x 11.75" height x 4.75" width, is very well detailed and is a faithful reproduction.
The swivel gun cradle, cannon barrel and all fittings are made of mahogany wood. The cannon barrel can tilt up and down but not swivel. The cannon has been painted a distressed brown to give the cannon a realistic antique look. On the base is painted "H.M.S. VICTORY", on the backside "1805. TRAFALGAR" and there is gold scrolling on the top of the swivel guns barrel. A smaller wooden HMS Victory swivel gun and a brass signal swivel gun are available (please click on the below link).
Our hand made wood swivel gun cannon models were mounted on the ships taffrail, the railing around the poop deck. They served as light and easy to aim guns to deal with fast sailing pirate and enemy vessels. They were mounted on a bronze cradle which allowed for fast reloading and precise aiming.
This historic naval cannon is a beautiful reproduction of one of the most famous naval ship's military cannons and would be a nice addition to your nautical decor.
